Oasis
Oasis will be headlining this year's BBC Electric Proms, joined by the world-renowned choir, The Crouch End Festival Chorus. They'll be performing an array of their anthemic hits, as well as new material from their new album, Dig Your Own Soul. Oasis Electric Proms Tickets

Nitin Sawhney
Collaborations and brand new material make for some intriguing shows at the Electric Proms this year. Nitin Sawhney will be bringing his very own homage to London at the Roundhouse Camden with accompaniment from acclaimed group the London Undersound Orchestra. Nitin Sawhney will be showcasing his diverse and eclectic sound, bringing classical, club, latin, arabic and pop to the Roundhouse. Tickets to the BBC Electric Proms will also give you the chance to hear the likes of Mike Skinner as The Streets hit town, bringing the original pirate material to Camden.

Also on hand to entertain the BBC Electric Proms audience will be Wild Beasts, the quirky young band who'll be showcasing their unique and individual sound to the Electric Proms audience. Joining Wild Beasts at the Roundhouse will be XX Teens, the hotly tipped London band who've just completed their critically acclaimed debut album, Welcome to Goon Island. After being championed by Zane Lowe on his BBC Radio 1 show, gaining pride of place on the front cover of Artrocker and bagging single of the week in NME, XX Teens alone are good enough reason to get your hands on BBC Electric Proms tickets.

Cheap tickets
In traditional BBC Proms style, there will is the chance to see some of these great musical acts and collaborations for just less than the standard selling price. The special £5.00 tickets to the BBC Electric Proms are limited to only 100 and fans of the electric festival are advised to register with the BBC the week before the gigs for the chance to buy these immensely popular tickets.

Goldfrapp and Chaka Khan
Also now confirmed to play the BBC Electric Proms for 2008 are two giants of the music world, Goldfrapp and Chaka Khan. Goldfrapp will be bringing their synthesised pop beats to a very special show at Cecil Sharp House, whilst Chaka Khan will be belting out classic soul, funk and RnB at London institution Dingwalls.

Please note, due to unforeseen circumstances the Chaka Khan gig has been cancelled.

Coldcut and Afrika Express
The latest additions to the line up are legendary dance act Coldcut and collaborative project, Africa Express. Coldcut have been at the forefront of the dance music scene for years and you can see them for free by following the official link below. Africa Express has previously seen stars such as Fatboy Slim, Franz Ferdinand and Damon Albarn join African performers in fascinating collaborations.

Acclaimed event
Having started in 2006 the BBC Electric Proms are now scheduled to become one of the staple autumn mini music festivals, with unusual collaborations, special rearrangements and exicting and thrilling one off musical performances. In 2006 The Good, The Bad and The Queen debuted with Damon Albarn and Paul Simonon, and Amy Winehouse got together with Paul Weller for a fantastic night of duets. In 2007 yet more stellar names took to the Roundhouse stage, with Jamie Cullum, the Kaiser Chiefs, David Arnold and Mark Ronson all taking part. This year's showcase of musical talent looks set to be even better, making Electric Proms tickets the absolute must have for any serious music fan in the city.
