A unique London Film Festival event is taking place at Trafalgar Square in October, featuring exciting works from acclaimed directors. Film fans can assemble for the Trafalgar Square London Film Festival screening and celebrate a another special year in one of the biggest film events in the world, sponsored by The Times.

London Loves
For 2008, London Loves, the Trafalgar Square London Film Festival screening event features two nights of free outdoor showings celebrates the capital and its population, whilst reflecting on the filmmaking potential of London in general. You can be sure that something vibrant and unusual will be on the big screens again this October, as High Treason from 1929 will give cinema lovers a chance to witness a futuristic version of the city from 80 years ago on Thursday 23rd October. The film will be accompanied by live incidental music from Neal Brand on the piano. Friday 24th October will see a sceening of shorts that celebrates all aspects of London.

London has been home to all manner of films, across genres, for many years. Film fans are invited to celebrate this rich cinematic history with a special cinema event, presenting something new and refreshing to the capital.

Celebrating 52 years of the London Film Festival
The two free screenings promise an engaging, exciting evening of truly innovative cinema, commemorating 52 years of the Times BFI London Film Festival. Since its first year the festival has firmly established itself as a premier film and cinema event, continuing to bring some of the world’s best cinema to London.

The London Film Festival screenings take place at Trafalgar Square on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October. Nearest tube: Charing Cross. The Trafalgar Square London Film Festival screening is free to attend.
