Out at the Pictures gets ready for the release of Milk starring Sean Penn this autumn, with a series of rare films from the 50s that deal with homosexuality. So head to the BFI for a journey through some of the best gay and lesbian flicks.

The highlight of Out at the Pictures this month is the screening of The Times of Harvey Milk. The documentary looks at the life and work of hay activist and politician Milk, and his assasination by the the Mayor of San Francisco, George Moscone, thirty years ago.
